ErP stands for Energy-related Products Directive.
It is a mandatory regulatory framework of the European Union, which aims to standardize ecodesign requirements for all energy-related products placed on the EU market.
By setting minimum ecodesign requirements, it reduces the environmental impact of products throughout their entire life cycle, from raw material acquisition to final disposal.
The most core and well-known component of this directive is energy efficiency requirements.
Minimum efficiency requirements for fans have been explicitly stipulated since 2015. This regulation was revised in 2024 and issued in the form of document No. 2024/1834. The revised regulation is referred to as ErP 2026, with effective dates in 2026 and 2027.
According to the regulatory requirements, fan efficiency measurement must cover the entire system composed of rotor, motor and stator; if these core components are supplied by different vendors, equipment manufacturers must provide compliance certificates that meet EU standards.
As a leading fan manufacturer in the industry, Schniro fan will take full responsibility for the accuracy of efficiency information and provide you with the EC Declaration of Conformity required for compliance.
